Family Math Nights are usually done at school but I created one that families can do at home. This comprehensive resource includes video tutorials, check lists, materials lists, and activity sheets for four home-friendly activities for grades K-5. I’m including the video below.
My goal was to design the Family Math Night/Day to be different than simply doing a math activity at the kitchen table. It’s their own personal event and I walk them through how to do it step-by-step. Watch the video below for tips on making it a special event.

I’m excited to share with you that we’ve added another new item to our Family Math Night kits – Family Math Night Passports. Students will be able to collect stickers as they go around to the different stations to add to their passport. We’ve even included an option for you to customize your passports with any additional stations you may include at your event.

We updated the Reminder Stickers in our Nifty Numbers, Math Medley, and Gellin’ with Geometry Family Math Night kits. We even included text boxes so that you can customize them with your specific event. These are perfect to send home with the little ones to remind families of your event. Simply apply them to their shirt as they walk out the door at the end of the day. Easy peasy. And what’s really fun is to watch kids show up to the Family Math Night wearing their sticker!

I’m happy to share with you that we now offer our Family Math Night promotional banner* in Spanish! Just hang your banner a few weeks before your event to remind families about your Family Math Night. What’s nice about the banner is that, just like the English version, you can use it over and over. We’ve included a special dry erase area where you can write in the date, time, and location of your event. Each vinyl banner has 4 sturdy grommets making it easy to hang.
We hope this helps those of you with a high Spanish population be better able to reach out to these families.
