Learning to skip count? Here’s a fun way to do it. Find old wrapping or craft paper that displays a variety of objects easy to count. Then have your child circle groups of a given number. Skip count by writing the numbers in the groups. (Teachers, you can laminate the paper and use it over and over!) CCSSM 3.OA.01

Making rectangular arrays with tiles is a great visual way to have students understand multiplication as repeated addition. And since we’re making arrays anyway, why not tie in square numbers.
