Equation Cards 3-5

This is a fun and super simple activity that underscores the idea of equality in equations. It also reinforces addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and the order of operations.

Working in pairs, students get one expression card and they try and find the pair of students that has the same value as their card. When they do, they use them to create an equation.

Blank expression cards are also included so the students can create their own equations.

• One set of expression cards focusing on double digit addition with an emphasis on making multiples of 10
• One set of expression cards that include addition, subtraction, and single digit multiplication
• One set of expression cards focusing on giving students practice working with the order of operations
• One set of blank cards
