I’m very excited to share with you our latest Family Math Night and parent engagement product – Play-N-Take 3. In the video below I describe these super fun and engaging math games.

But first, I want to share with you two recent reports that underscore in a very big way the importance of early math skills.

The first is from the Thomas B. Fordham Institute and synthesizes recent research from the Urban Institute’s Income and Benefits Policy Center. This line from the article sums it up:

“Findings indicate that improving children’s math scores outshines all other factors and increases adult earning the most.”

The second is from a study that explored the relationship between board games and math skills in young children. The findings indicate that:

“Board games enhance mathematical abilities for children from 45.6 to 100.6 months since they help achieve statistically significant gains.”

I share these with you as we launch our new Play-N-Take 3 board games because playing quality math games in the elementary grades can have positive long-term outcomes for our students. And since games are fun to play, getting students engaged is easy.

Just like all of our K-5 math games, the Play-N-Take 3 games are standards-based and reinforce classroom learning. In addition, the games have multiple versions which makes differentiation super easy…not to mention that they are also available in Spanish.
