Insect Symmetry

Get kids excited about math with this fun, hands-on collaborative project. Typically done during a Family Math Night event, this project can also be done in the classroom. The best part is, each participant is individually represented in the final product!

Participants choose from three different insects and use mirror (reflection) symmetry to draw the other half. A background grid of squares is provided to help students in their drawing.
